Asayish deny affiliation to YPG/PYD. Moreover, they say Kurdish Democratic Progressive Party (lead by Hamid Darwish) in Syria, Left Party in Syria (lead by Muhammad Musa) and Syrian Kurdish Democratic party (lead by Sheikh Jamal) were trained by them to join them. Moreover, they deny that they have political prisoners and say the imprisonment of Aladin Baath and his son Sarwar is not an issue. Most of these parties have ties to Talabani's PUK.
