An Iraqi news website disclosed on Tuesday that officials of Iraq's former Ba'ath regime and several others from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) have joined Qatar, Turkey and Saudi Arabia in their efforts to disintegrate Iraq.Nahrainnet in a report quoted Iraqi parliamentary sources as saying that some Kurdish officials are trying to provoke the sentiments of Iraq's Sunni Muslims by hosting a conference titled 'Movement for Sunnis' in Iraq's Kurdish city of Erbil.
The sources told Nahrainnet that according to intelligence reports, the KRG has received direct orders from Turkey's intelligence service to invite Iraq's Sunni Ulema and politicians in a bid to provoke their tribal sentiments to stage protests in Iraq.
Nahrainnet mentioned that the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government is also trying to reinforce extremist currents in Iraqi provinces of al-Anbar, Mosel, Tikrit and Fallujah.
Earlier this year, a senior Iraqi politician said his country has obtained information revealing that Qatar and Turkey are leading efforts to disintegrate Iraq.
